Sunwell seals spiral wound gaskets are available in 4 distinct types, each engineered for specific application needs:
1. SW600-R Basic Type
This Basic construction type features reinforced inner and outer diameters with multiple metal piles, excluding filler, providing enhanced stability and superior compression characteristics. Ideal for tongue and groove, male and female, or grooved to flat face flange assemblies.
2. SW600-IR Inner Ring Type
Equipped with a solid inner metal ring, this design acts as a compression stopper. It prevents solids accumulation, minimizes erosion, and reduces turbulent flow of process fluids. Perfectly suitable for male and female pipe flanges.
3. SW600-CG Outer Ring Type
Featuring a solid outer ring, this type accurately positions the gasket on the flange face, providing additional radial strength and acting as a compression limiter. Its design facilitates easy installation and is recommended for use with flat face and raised face flanges, especially for Class 900 and above.
4. SW600-CGI Inner & Outer Rings Type
This comprehensive design incorporates both inner and outer rings, offering an enhanced compression limiting stopper to protect against corrosion on the flange face. Suitable for high pressure/temperature applications and for environments with corrosive or toxic media, specified particularly for Class 900 and above.
The SUNWELL SW600 spiral wound gasket is expertly crafted from a V-shaped metallic strip paired with a soft non-metallic filler. Support rings, both inside and outside the spiral, significantly enhance the gasket's handling, fitting, and versatility.
