Sunwell Seals' Spiral Wound Gaskets are available in four distinct types:
1. SW600-R Basic Type
This essential construction type is reinforced with multiple layers of metal without filler to enhance stability and compression features. Ideal for tongue and groove, male and female, or grooved to flat face flange assemblies.
2. SW600-IR Inner Ring Type
Featuring a robust inner metal ring that serves as a compression stopper, this design minimizes turbulence and erosion, preventing damage between the flange bore and gasket. Perfect for male and female pipe flanges.
3. SW600-CG Outer Ring Type
With a solid outer ring for precise flange face placement, this type offers increased radial strength to prevent blowout and acts as a compression limiter. Easy installation makes it suitable for flat and raised face flanges. For Class 900 and above, an internal ring is advised.
4. SW600-CGI Inner & Outer Rings Type
Combining inner and outer rings, this gasket provides added compression limitation and prevents flange face corrosion. Ideal for flat and raised face flanges and suited for high-pressure/high-temperature applications - Class 900 and above, or where corrosive/toxic media exist.
