Sunwell's premier spiral wound gaskets are available in four distinct types, designed to meet specific sealing challenges:
1. SW600-R Basic Type
The basic construction type is engineered for enhanced stability and superior compression characteristics, with reinforced inner and outer diameters using multiple metal piles without filler. This type is ideal for tongue and groove, male and female, or grooved to flat face flange assemblies.
2. SW600-IR Inner Ring Type
Featuring a solid inner metal ring, this type acts as a compression stopper, mitigating the accumulation of solids, minimizing turbulent fluid flow, and reducing gasket erosion between the flange bore and inside diameter. Perfect for male and female pipe flanges.
3. SW600-CG Outer Ring Type
This type includes a solid outer ring that precisely positions the gasket on the flange face, providing extra radial strength to avert blowouts. It acts as a compression limiter, simplifying installation on flat and raised face flanges. An internal ring is advised for class 900 and above.
4. SW600-CGI Inner & Outer Rings Type
Designed with both inner and outer rings, this gasket type offers added compression limitation, preventing annular space corrosion. Suitable for flat and raised face flanges, it is specified for high-pressure/high-temperature scenarios and environments with corrosive or toxic media.
